Jan 7, 2012 · #2 · Jan 8, 2012 I sometimes have a similar thing happen with my '97 C200, but in my case when I insert the key nothing happens, steering lock doesn't disengage or anything. If I stick my finger into the ignition slot and give it a wipe then all seems OK, but after this happens the engine starts for only a second before quitting.
