It will cause erratic heater operation as you have found, but can also lead to engine overheating and expensive damage.Dodge Mechanic: Chong. try jumping power right at the starter solenoid ,see if it cranks. if it does, use a multimeter check the wire continuity from relay pin87 to the starter solenoid connector, possibly the wire is open.
