Someone recently did chrony rifle testing with equal volume loads of 777 and RS (2 granulations of 777). The RS was easily 20% slower. Perhaps P would have only been 10-15% slower. Although it is not an Optima, I have a cva mtn rifle. Same set up, 90 grs blackhorn with 250gr bullet and that black harvester crushed rib sabot produces almost 5 holes touching at 100 yards. I do wish the stock was a 1/2" shorter on this gun and it seems to kick a little harder than the Impact. I don't think you can go wrong with either choice.The break open latching on the Wolf is located on the front of the trigger guard. It tends to snag on things causing it to open while hunting. The Optima is on the back of the guard and haven’t had any problems whatsoever. I now own an Accura MR Nitride. It may possibly be the best hunting muzzleloader ever produced.

I did not see any indication of V1 or V2 or Bergara barrel marks. Although when I talked to a CVA Technician about my Optima he stated it had a Bergara barrel. Also my rifle has a fantastic trigger.
