North Dallas: This is pretty much the nice part of Dallas and where I surmise most of this sub lives. Parts of these have been wealthy for a long time, a lot has became wealthy in the past 10-20 years. Best place to live if you have a family tbh. Uptown/Turtle Creek/Oak Lawn - Pretty wealthy and mostly young people. As for the apparent "ghetto"ness, this sounds like the musings of a scared suburbanite who can't stand the sight of non-whites outside.
