An upgraded mag catch came with the release of the Gen 2 Staccato grips. That was to help with the overinsertion problem that STI's and 2011's in general had been plagued by for years. It did help but did noy completely stop that from happening. G3 mags was also to help fix that issue and did help.

This is an old post, but i think the P with a threaded barrel is the way to go. Hear me out. you can get a PMM compensator and throw a light and red dot on it and you have an excellent 2011. The XC is a nice gun but its hard to say its worth 4,000+ when you can get a P and a comp or porting done. 1.
