Is the sig sp2022 discontinued.
Thanks for the replies. I was leaning towards the SP2022 as I don't like the look of the P250, I just think it looks cheap, and I wanted a decent plastic Sig before they were discontinued. I like the USPc and as such was after the P30, it's just the trigger feel, and I think it has a lot to do with its shape that I don'tlike on the HK.

Nobody buys the base Nitron versions, just as nobody buys the basic P320’s (hence why they’re available everywhere online at discounted prices even in a pandemic). You can find it on a search in the search box, but otherwise it is on its way out. The M17/M-18 has replaced it. But as neither the P320, or the M-17/M-18 not being allowed in the Republic of CA yet anyone in CA is SOL.This results in the gun being lighter but also feeling top heavy until you have a loaded mag inserted to balance it out. The P models, like the P226, are fully metal and are not made with a polymer frame. I have a SP2022 in .40, and it is a great gun. As for the SP2009, I think it is still in production, as well as the SP2340.

The SP2022 is definitely not an entry level pistol. When they first came out they were close to $700!! However the SP2022 never was a good seller to the general market other than the massive 250,000 unit French contract. The SP2022 has been discontinued at least once before.

I believe I’m said before that I’m not sure a 15 round gun should be called “compact,” but that’s the convention so I’ll work with it. According to Sig it even has “ Carry ” in its name.
