Great weapon fighting - You reroll 1s and 2s on your weapon’s damage dice when using a weapon with two hands. 1 - A better relationship with Wotc. Not necessarily abandoning the Solasta setting, but the ability to use mechanics outside SRD 5.1 and D&D name in the promotional material. (Wotc should list Solasta as a D&D game as well) 2 - Improvements in the game presentation. Better graphics and effects. I personally don't mind about it.

WotR>Deadfire>Solasta, imo. From a story perspective, I feel like deadfire doesn't even hold a candle to wotr. Deadfire story builds itself as something great and epic, but it slowly drip feeds you and then abruptly ends. Wotr, meanwhile, is amazing from beginning to end. Class/combat-wise I also prefer pathfinder.
There are player made campaigns available through Steam Workshop, and one released by the devs themselves, I think. The menu hints towards plans for more campaigns, but it probably depends on how well it sold. More support costs money, and they’re still working on patching out current bugs. Snow gets +1 dex, and the heavy crossbow proficiency is nice for a back up option at longer ranges. Hill gets +1 wis, and the extra hp per level is nice and builds into the theme.
