The Venza is better looking, has the really cool panoramic roof with push button frost feature (something really unique for this segment), and the AWD system is able to put 80% of the power to the rear wheels which is great - the Rav4 can only do 50/50. Currently deciding between the 2021 Rav4 gas Limited AWD vs the 2021 Rav4 Hybrid Limited AWD. I'm not too worried about the $1600 CAD price difference, I'm worried about which is the more reliable vehicle. To highlight some of the differences: -A slight bit more horsepower in the Hybrid compared to the standard gas Rav4. -slightly quieter engine. Biggest issues for the rav4 is the road noise and loud cabin and outdated interior. That said, the hybrid is quieter than the gas model. Kia Sportage on paper is great. Nice interior, up to date tech, quiet cabin, and spacious. Between the two, I’d go with rav4. If you're not interested in the sub, you can run just a front speaker upgrade with the amp. I have a 2019 Rav4 Le Awd. Amplifiers are in the center console, and under the front passenger's seat. Kicker Key 200.4 amplifier for the dash speakers and door speakers. Kicker Key 500.1 amplifier for the subwoofer, running at 2ohms iirc.

Much better handling and driving experience with CX-5. Nicer interior in all respects in CX-5. The turbocharged engine in the CX-5 whipped the RAV-4's. RAV-4 was just vaguely tacky and boring. I also preferred the CX-5's styling to the RAV-4's Tonka-truck styling, but that's subjective. Both have stellar reliability ratings.

Recently picked up a 2006 RAV4 with less than 93,000 miles on it! I’m already in love <3. The RAV4 interior is a lot more "basic" than the CR-V. It's well done and it looks decent, but it's far from the luxury look of the CR-V. It has more space inside, at least visually speaking, I didn't measure anything. The visibility is much better and the transmission is so, so much better than the Honda. 2022 rav4 VS new 2022 kia sportage. So I'm looking at buying a 2022 updated shape rav4 hybrid bruiser in Australia. The car seems like a great bit of kit but is starting to look a little dated inside. I test drive the new kia sportage and the cabin is miles ahead in terms of tech than the rav 4. The drive is also pretty good. Otherwise it runs $3-4k+ over the trek in a touring trim with extra warranty on both. (72Mo/160kKM for my trek and 84Mo/200kKM) Also look into how the RAV4's "AWD system", I'm not sure it's permanent AWD like the Crosstreks 60/40 split (I think). I haven't needed to lock the diff in the 4yrs I owner the Rav4. 🤷 It's really about slow acceleration, driving for the conditions (slower), and keeping enough stopping distance in the snow.
