Somtimes a magnfying glass is necessary to see the number. The P-1 has a cast block with the casting number on the bottom of the locking block. If you look at the top of the locking block you see a drooping eagle on one side and the last three numbers of the serial numers elecropenciled. The gun is original with none of the later upgrades.

It had an open rail under the barrel, but still had the short magazine release. They also reshaped the trigger guard. Then, in 2005, the changed the frame again.
