Aug 3, 2010. #1. You should be able to push the draft control lever down. It should sort of snap into place and stay there. Up for most 3 point work, down is mostly for plowing. The other knob is the flow control. It adjusts the speed that your 3 point raises. You hardly ever use it.

When I pull the control lever all the way up, the hydraulic arms creep slowly up and stop about one third of the total distance they are supposed to travel. I have a Ford 3600, which is very similar to your 2600. On my tractor, when the draft control lever (inner lever) is in the full up position, the lift is in the full up position, and the position control lever has no affect. See attached diagram. Shaft #23 is actually a concentric shaft (has inner and outer shafts).Disassemble the control linkage until you can get the part with the worn pin out of there. Press or drive the worn pin out. Replace with the correct hardened dowel pin part number 374072S from Ford/New Holland. This is listed as a 5/16″ x 7/8″ dowel pin but it is actually .309″ diameter not 5/16″ (.3125″).
