I recently bought an Astro a40 w/ mixamp headset for Black Friday and was really stoked to get this new headset. The headset is amazing and the sound quality of the headset overall is amazing but the microphone does not work properly. I mainly play apex legends. I also play on an Xbox one X. I plugged in the mixamp with usb and optical cable.
When you launch up the ASTRO Command Center and it asks you to connect a device in PC mode, leave the window open, disconnect the USB cable from the MixAmp, ensure your MixAmp is in PC mode and then reconnect the USB cable.
