I skipped hardened steel because it requires black ice; if you can get black ice, you can blow up meteors for star metal. And that requires black ice anyway too. Using a mix of black blood and star metal for tools (i'm lazy, only farmed enough blood for sorcery trainign), and star metal for weapons.

Kill the 2 giants at the entrance, then the two at bottom of stairs if you want to bring your pack mule thrall down. Otherwise you can disregard the 2 at the bottom and just jump off the ledge to get to all the black ice beneath the stairs at the beginning of the temple.
