My 97 XLT that was built 7/23/96 doesn't have keyless entry 😐. Best check for the module under the dash before purchasing fobs. I don't think I've ever seen a 97 or 98 F150 with factory keyless. Only the dealer installed Code Alarm setup. It was an option on Expy's though.
