M9a3 was a bigger deal before the 92x came out. Vertec frame + rail, etc. both of which the 92x has. As a blanket statement though, the guy is basically right about the barrel being the major difference from the 92 fs and 92x from the things I consider major factors. It is rather large, but you can get flush fitting 18 round magazines on the cheap and 9mm get's a nice boost out of the 5 inch barrel.Final Thoughts. The Sig X-5 is the most accurate production pistol period. Mine came with a test target with 5 shots inside 1.5" at 50 yards or meters, can't remember. Try that with 92. The 226 is a bit cheaper, and the threaded barrels are easy to get, as well as mags.Thus, the Taurus PT92 was born, and quickly became known as a cheaper clone of the Beretta and with nearly, if not the same, level of quality. In 2005, the PT92 evolved into the modern-day PT92AF that comes standard with a 17-round magazine and a tactical rail, something only upgrades of the 92FS such as the M9A1 or 92A1 feature.
