Rossi 92 rear sight replacement.

I've read that quite a few Rossi's come from the factory shooting high, but I seem to have the opposite problem. My Rossi M92 in 45 Colt (20" barrel) seems to be shooting low. Very Low. 12"-15" low at 50 yards with the rear semi-buckhorn bottomed out. So I'd raise the rear sight up a notch and shoot again. Recently installed the Marbles ghost ring sight and new front sight. Had to replace front sight since the bead on factory sight was missing. The front sight is .500 high and .531 wide. I had a Rossi '92 some years back and found it shot to point of aim with the elevator removed so the sight was all the way down tight to the barrel. I didn't want to lose it, so I took the butt plate off, cut a little receptacle for it, and put the butt plate back on.
