It's a Government Lab that the Army Occupied. It's more of a challenge area like the Prison. Main loot is the army clothes and loot on the bodies.

Its supposed to be a military housing town for Fort Knox, the military base. It's not in the game yet but it's planned, I think. In the middle of the town there's a Community Center with the largest library in KY. Two floors, several rows of bookcases. It's completely surrounded by zombies though.No proper perimeter, guard stations, watch towers, any buildings that might have a military function. No staging area, no depot, no barracks or facilities, gear, armory, nothing. If this is indeed a super secret research base like many have suggested, they sure don't care about protecting it.

The base itself is located close to the southwest edge of the map, deep in the wilderness, very far from everything. most dangerous place is march ridge when your a month in (or just in general) it's basically the mall but with no real chance of looting it successfully, and just a FYI the "military base" your talking about near rosewood is not a military base, it's a unnamed research facility that will have some lore added eventually. people only really call it a military base because of the mili zeds.

At the moment I’m making my base at the big church. It’s located in the northern part of Raven Creek close to the yellowish police station that has bin updated to look like survivors made it into a base. It’s got a huge graveyard and the main church got 3 floors.
