Our village surrounds the Sugar Mountain Resort that features 125 acres of ski terrain on 21 slopes and 8 lifts for rapid transport. In fact, it offers the most ski area and the largest vertical drop (1,200 feet) in the North Carolina Blue Ridge Mountains.Snow tubing is located across the street from the base lodge. The tubing park consists of several 700 ft. long lanes. The tubing park is serviced by a moving conveyor lift called a Magic Carpet, which transports riders smoothly to the top of the runs.
