The futures commissions on tda are nasty indeed. ~$5 per contract round trip. Terrible. But I like the interface and I think using ActiveTrader is easier and more intuitive than most other platforms I’ve tried. Tradovate has god awful charting imo. Ninja Trader is expensive af, you pay $1k for the lifetime version and they only offer a demo of the leased version, so not even a demo of all the features. On top of that, it's got bad performance. I've had it crash multiple times during my demo and I have a good computer.
