Re: lincoln won`t weld. Your Ranger 250 is an inverter design machine. Lincoln calls it "chopper" and weld output is controlled by the D2 Diode Module (IGBT) which is "fired" by the PCB3 Weld Control PC Board. PCB3 is likely the board the repair shop wants to replace. The additional $1100 is probably the complete D2 Diode Module.
