I was trying .22 long cb caps, so I figured the odd ammo caused the problem. I cycled the cartridge out, it ejected fine, with the bullet intact.

This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could be reviving an old thread. Easy fix. Break down the receiver, pull the bolt and the firing pin is in plain view laying in a groove along the top of the bolt. Remove the old broken firing pin, clean the groove and put in a bit of lube. Then, lay in a new firing pin and reassemble. And go shooting!!!! I just took 4 of my 39A's out of the safe and tried to get a misfire by pointing the muzzle straight down. I can't make mine misfire by pointing them down. Sounds like the one that misfires pointed down needs a firing pin with that many rounds fired in it.I believe that S/N should put your rifle at 1906.
