My personal opinion is that an Inclement Emerald-esque rom hack with a functional Frontier would be the pinnacle of rom hacks for me, I would play it until the end of time. I'm not sure the demand for a Frontier is that high overall though. Radical Red is also a case study of quantity over quality. While having all 800+ Pokemon in one hack is a novel concept, in practice this leads to bloated encounter tables as well as being a nightmare to balance. And this is without factoring things like generational gimmicks and the hundreds of moves in the game.
