Prodigy is a lot smoother and softer shooting. The C2 and CS are aluminum lightweight guns. He had looked at the gun and seemed interested but was on the fence. I walked over and told the sales kid I'd take it.
The Staccato is a 2011 (frame + grip module) while the Wilson is a 1911 (frame/grip frame + grip panels), but both double-stack 9mm handguns. The grip on the Staccato is noticeably larger, fatter than the EDC. The Staccato is super reliable, a flat shooter, and one of my more accurate shooters (along with the EDC).

I kind of want to start messing with 2011s and 1911s just to see what I can …Some will also say cost difference justifies better build quality on Staccato, but I personally disagree. Regardless, the most noticeable/used benefit being new to the platform would likely be the Dawson guide rod and you can add that to prodigy for like $60 or so. So ultimately that’s up to you if extra cost for Staccato is worth it.Both the prodigy's were $1400 OTD at a lgs. so $1,000 savings vs the Staccato for me (for 1 Prodigy vs 1 Staccato).
