The Drake has high armor and no shields. I was able to kill it with a 20k fleet of corvettes and plasma cruisers only. Just have enough corvettes to use as cannon fodder and the cruisers will nuke the drake easily. Generally 30-35k is enough, but if you want to stay on the safe side 50k is definitely more than enough.E.g. Shard or the L-Drakes. Usually to do that digsite in the future, wait before excavating the last part. Set your fleet into the system and give him the middle finger. Shard needs a year to sterilize that planet, so it leaves you time to go at him once.
