From reading other information along the way, I was of the understanding this should be a 16" barrel. Mine is almost 21 1/2" at the end of the threaded barrel from where the barrel meets the action.
No need to remove them (the mag screw is threaded into the bolt guide), just loosen them a bit. With those screws loosened and also backing the bolt out a bit will allow the bolt guide to move up enough to allow the small extension on the bottom of the barrel to slide under the bolt guide. I am a CZ fan and own two 452's and a 512. All good shooters. Both 452's are exceptional in my opinion. I use a 452 UL to compete in ARA Factory Class. My best card ever (not in a match) is 2450 with SK Flat Nose Match. I have only done that once. My main competitor is a CZ 457 MTR. He shoots the most expensive ammo he can buy.

This entire barrel change will probably cost me around $900 but this 457 is nothing like the 457 Varmint model I had for about 2 months.
