It seems your best bet is to play on official servers. They almost never wipe, whereas most if not all community servers are wiped at least with every major update. I honestly think everyone could find a server they're comfortable to invest time into. There's plenty to choose from just need to give it a shot. Play on DayOne servers if on PC for best experience imo. I recommend the dayone servers on pc. I actually enjoy playing on official servers so far, its more challening.
