I have flushed with distilled water several times and need to fill it back up with the proper coolant. The previous owner gave me a half empty bottle of Peak "fleet charge" that is pre-charged with SCA from when he changed the coolant 3 yrs ago, but I'm not ... Feb 23, 2022 · Howdy y’all. It’s almost like a death wobble, for a very breif period of time (maybe 5 seconds) and then it goes away, also it goes away if I speed... Automatic control via the PCM and full manual lockup. This allows the computer to run the converter as normal, but also allows a full manual lockup in 3rd and 4th gears. thx997303. Actually, it seems that the zf5 uses a bell housing adapter to connect to the IDI, but the zf6 doesn't use one to connect to the powerstroke. I'll see if I can't dig up a pic. The bell housing bolt patterns are the same. Though it looks like the zf6 may be larger around the rest of the transmission.

It doesnt leak much, but you can see blue smoke especially at startup. I tried cleaning the CDR, but I think it got worse after that (no i didnt use compressed air, only a gas bath and air dry).

Depending on mileage, freshen up the injection pump and injectors, and get the engine timed properly. Makes all the difference in the world as far as performance and mileage are concerned. Be sure to do the lift pump as well.

The cylinder walls in a 7.3 are relatively thin so the less over bore, then better. I used to work in a shop that remanned these engines back in the late 90's and early 2000's. Our machine shop wouldn't go over a .020" over bore.
