Prairie Bluebell Egger™ This breed was created by crossing Araucanas and White Leghorns, this creates a chicken that lays a large quantity of eggs that have blue shells. The Prairie Bluebell Egger™ is an active bird that is very good at foraging. They are lightweight and do not eat as much as larger breeds. This chicken does have a crossbeak so I don’t know if that would have an effect on the comb at all. The shape of the saddle feathers seem to be comparable in shape to my other Easter Egger. This is also my smallest chicken. The chicken in question is the dark colored one and the light one is my other Easter Egger for comparison.However, once Easter Egger chicks are mature enough to be sexed as pullets or cockerels, you can begin giving them an 18% protein grower feed with more calcium. ...
