I replaced the sub and used the same amp with the Skar ported enclosure that I was using with the P3D212. They have similar volume specs. The amp I used for break-in was a 800W @1ohm Fosgate class bd and it was way underpowered for the Skar EVL @ 1,250rms. They are power hungry. I have sice replaced the amp with the Skar RP-1200.1.Just because you have a 1200 watt amp on these subs, doesn't mean you are putting out that 1200 watts! I am into car audio comps and have won state champ in my class 3 times, and these subs lasted a while on the Skar 800.1 putting out a clamped 823 watts RMS. I bumped it up to a Skar 1200.1 and the subs didn't last a week.
