As far as Anesthesiology vs. EM, I would say EM has better "lifestyle" b/c they work less hours (probably an average of 35 vs. an average of 50 or so) and they are never on call (barring mass casualty or you have to cover for a sick co-worker). NO CALL for EM. and you only work like half the month for full time pay.
