KTM has promised this bike to be less restrictive than XCF-Ws of the past, as it's supposed to be a "racer," not just a trail bike. Expect EXC-F to be $1k-$2k more just because it's plateable where XCF-W is not. Edited June 19, 2022 by nots0much. More importantly, it has a smooth, friendly power delivery and a six-speed gearbox. The gearbox itself is exactly the same as that of the 500EXC, which is a favorite among desert racers. It isn’t uncommon for riders to install the EXC gearbox into the 450XC for racing. Now they don’t have to. The KTM 450XCF-W sells for $11,649.
