Not sure need more testing as before you wouldn't forget special recipes. Also, in central tower on siptah, archives in forgotten city on exiled land. Some recipes use fragments of power as well. You will need some for upgrading the Tome of Kurak also. But I think its like 5 of them.

There's a very specific artifact you get from looting crates around the island that acts as a shovel or a spear. The Gravedigger. I believe that is the only shovel. Edit to add: I believe you can also get a scroll or recipe to make one to use as a weapon. The ones I've found in crates are broken but still work as shovels.
