Depends on the type of Ranger you want to make. Archery ranger is pretty easy, just get a good dex score and all the ranged feats. Other types are a little more tricky. Like a sword and shield ranger or a two weapon ranger. Rangers are really versetile because the styles let you bypass the stat requirements for feats.

Optimal Kineticist build is probably regular Kineticist, going water/earth blast, going for bowling and rooting infusion and casting Deadly Earth and Wall to kill everyone from a distance. Imho the best path for Kineticist is demon (aspect of kalavakus has so good synergies).
