It should be at least competitive with the Steam Deck in terms of raw performance, but who knows? At the very least it will be much moer powerful than the current Switch models. And it stands to reason that TotK has been developed with the Switch 2 hardware in mind, as a cross-platform Switch/Switch2 title.

It's just not really that possible to run TOTK that smoothly on the deck yet. You might be able to eek out a few more frames by using some other tweaks, but it won't be a very big improvement. Frames just drop to low and sub-20 in certain areas and when you use certain powers.Set Thermal Power Limit to on the Performance menu on the Deck. Set the Watts slider to 7 . Turn on Manual GPU Clock Control. Set the value to 1000. This made a huge difference for me. Limit framerate to 40fps and set deck to 40 hertz refresh rate. Ensure FPS++ is downloaded and you have a higher refresh rate set than 40 .If you have a good PC, your best route may be adding Yuzu as a non-steam game and streaming from your PC to Deck. Manually setting it to 1600mhz greatly increases performance in yuzu, but after a few seconds GPU will be locked to 1040mhz again. You can use the overlay to confirm this issue (which exists for any emulator in steamos currently).

TOTK v1.1 Mainline 1428 - Steam Deck. Performance is hovering between 20-30fps, boots without launch mod, just played up through 1st shrine and I've had zero graphical artifacts, pretty much perfect graphically so far.
