For raiding you can either try LFR, which is pig raiding, and pretty easy (as far as raiding goes). If you want to try normal raiding, look for a guild to play with. Saved instances is the best addon for this in my experience. The icon indicates that it's siege time, but when you faze into the zone, it disappears as it's already finished. The icon seems to only be present when you are in a different zone.
